Chapter 7 (Redd's Perspective)

Hey everyone. I have a favor to ask. Tell three of your friends about this blog. Not thirty of them (unless you want to and which would make me eternally grateful), but just three. And tell them to tell three of their friends. The point is, we have a looooooooooooonnnnnng road ahead of us if we are going to improve the quality of life over in Uganda. In order to move down that road, I am dependent on YOU. But it's not just me; the people who suffer each day in Africa need you as well, perhaps even more than they need me. So I'm just saying that even if you in particular do not want to donate, then please just spread the word about my blog and my mission so that somebody else will. Otherwise, my mission fails and the people die. Here is the seventh chapter.

Chapter 6 (Rictor's Perspective)

Hey everyone!

It seems as though we are very close to getting 100 page hits. I am not sure how many people are actually reading my novel, but I am needing help with promoting this blog. If you know of any web pages or businesses that need some advertising, I am looking for affiliates. If they would put up a link to my website, then I would gladly put up a link to theirs and give them some special mention for helping me make the world a better place. I've been very busy lately, posting up advertisements on places such as Craigslist and web directories, hoping to drive traffic to my website, but we've only been getting a couple of new hits per day. I don't want to sound ungrateful for the visitors that have already came, but many more page hits are going to be needed in order to cause a difference in Africa. As of yet, I have still not received any e-mails declaring a donation to World Vision and that saddens me. I hope that if you chose not to donate that you will at least pass this site on to someone who will.

Chapter 4 (Samson's Perspective)

Hello. As promised, here is the fourth chapter of my novel. I am aware of the fact that there are some readers who have subscribed to this blog and I must say that they will not be sorry that they did. However, I feel as though an explanation as to where I am heading with the plot is necessary. If you read the character descriptions, then you know that there are still a LOT of characters who have not yet appeared yet. I can assure you that a majority of them will appear in the nearby upcoming chapters and every character on that list will eventually have a chapter through their perspective. Once the plot of the novel gets going and all of the characters have their say, you will notice that they have contrasting opinions about each other and because of that, some of them may end up changing sides. But I don't want to spoil anything for you. Enjoy the latest chapter, from the perspective of the scientist named Samson.

Chapter 2 (Rictor's Perspective)

Hello everyone,

Here is the second chapter to Jaded Hearts. This time, it is from the perspective of the Green Rogue Rebel named Rictor. This chapter sets a lot of events up for later on, so hopefully you enjoy this.
I have noticed that this blog has almost 50 hits. I am very happy with this number and hope that it will continue to grow because the more people who see my work, the more likely it is that someone will choose to donate. As of now, I have not received any e-mails from people declaring that they have donated, so I hope people are simply being modest.

The first readables! Introduction and character descriptions!

It's taken a long time preparing to publish this novel and now that it's finished enough to the point where I can start actually letting people read it, I've been a bit nervous about the reaction that it will cause.

So, you may have been wondering what all this business about “Helping my novel save the world” is and why I have decided to let the public read my work for free.

I wrote this novel with the intention of encouraging readers to help the people who suffer in Uganda, Africa. It is my goal to make readers feel a desire to donate to the World Vision Organization while being entertained by my work along the way even though the plot has nothing to do with the country itself. If you would please, donations can be made via the World Vision Website, www.worldvision.org/

Whether or not you choose to donate will never change the fact that my novel will always be free for the public to enjoy. Though the novel is 100% copyrighted to me, I give permission for anyone to link to my blog, download and store my PDF files for as long as they wish, and to cite my work for educational purposes under the condition that they do not modify any of my files in any way.
